Name
Artist Q&A: Glass Artist Carol Milne
Description

Join us for a Q&A with Seattle-based glass artist Carol Milne!

Carol spent her first 18 years at 18 different addresses. The one constant was her obsession with handicraft and textile based work in all its forms - but especially knitting. She became a self-taught master knitter.

Not seeing art or craft as a viable career choice, Carol received a degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Guelph, Canada. In her senior year she realised she was more interested in sculpture than landscape and has been working as a sculptor ever since.

Carol began working with glass in Seattle in 2000. In 2006, she combined her passion for knitting with her love for cast glass sculpture and became the lone pioneer in the field of knitted glass, creating work in glass that looks like fibre.

Check out the videos below of Carol's amazing artwork and bring your questions to this live Q&A session as Carol joins us virtually all the way from Seattle!
